I hope you’re well. I wanted to let you know that a book I’ve been working on for the past three years or so has just been published. It’s a book I’ve worked on with the spiritual teacher Russel Williams, who I've been regularly visiting for the last 18
years. Russel has been active as a teacher since 1959 - he's 94 years old now, but has never published any writings before. I first asked him about writing a book 15 years ago, but he was reluctant, believing that the "feeling" of his teachings and of his being could not be captured in writing. But three years ago, he was in poor health, and told me that he finally was interested in publishing a book. He was aware that it might not be too long before he departed this Earth, and felt that it
might be helpful to leave a record of his teachings and his life. That led to the new book, Not I, Not Other Than I: The Life and Teachings of Russel Williams, just published by O books. At the age of 94, Russel may be the oldest first-time author ever. And now his health has recovered and he’s stronger than ever!
To work on the book was a labour of love, and a privilege, both to spend time with Russel and to delve so deeply into his
teachings. I believe he is one of the most profound and powerful spiritual teachers alive today and I’m sure that the book will become known as a classic in spiritual literature.
