Steve's Research on Awakening Experiences
Dear All

I hope you're well. I've just realised that I forgot to send out a newsletter in November - never mind! I'll send one out soon. Just for now, I wanted to encourage your participation in some research I'm just starting on what I call 'awakening experiences' (I wrote about them in my book Waking From Sleep.) I'm just about to start a new study of them, focusing on the triggers (or situations or activities) that give rise to them. I'm looking for some more reports of them, so if you have any examples, please share them with me at [email protected]

Here's the original question I asked when I began my research for Waking From Sleep:

‘Have you ever had an awakening experience - that is, a temporary expansion and intensification of awareness? This could be an experience in which your surroundings have become brighter and more real, when you’ve felt a sense of connection to them and a deep sense of well-being inside. Or perhaps you have felt a sense of harmony and meaning pervade the world, even a kind of ‘spirit-force’ pervading all things, and a sense that all things are one, and you are part of this one-ness.'

If you're not clear about what an 'awakening experience' is, you can think in terms of a higher state of consciousness, a spiritual experience - or more detail, you can read this article of mine: https://www.stevenmtaylor.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/trps-44-12-01-073.pdf

all best wishes and blessings

Steve
