I’m delighted to let you know that my book Extraordinary Awakenings: When Trauma Leads to Transformation will be published in September.

I’m sure you’re familiar with the book from my previous newsletters. I think it’s my most inspiring and powerful book, with some incredible stories of spiritual awakening in soldiers, prisoners, addicts, bereaved people, and others. The book explores the meaning of these experiences and provides principles readers can apply to their own spiritual development, like releasing psychological attachments, contemplating our mortality, and responding to suffering with an attitude of acknowledgment and acceptance.

As you may know, publishers have strategies for drawing readers to books, which is fortunate for someone like me who’s generally averse to self-promotion! So I’m working with my publisher, New World Library, to create a “launch team” for the book — a couple of hundred people who are willing to pre-order the book and post reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Writing reviews and spreading the word about the book are so helpful in getting it into people's field of awareness.

If you join the team, you will be among the first people to read the book via an advance PDF copy that my publisher will provide before the publication date.

Step 2: Sign up to be on the “launch team” by the end of the day July 2nd. To sign up, just hit “reply” to this email and provide the following:

•   your name and the country you live in
•   the email address where we can contact you
•   your receipt or order number from Amazon

Step 3: Receive the advance PDF copy of the book that my publisher will email to you in mid July.

Step 4: Read the PDF of the book.

Step 5: Post a review of the book on Amazon.com and Goodreads.com. When you receive the PDF copy my publisher will give you a specific date to post your review..
